IRS Warning: Don't Go There
The IRS warns of scam email messages that appear to come from taxrefunds@irs.gov. The email says the IRS owes the recipient a tax refund and provides a Web link supposedly to a page on GovBenefits.gov for claiming the refund. However, that link will bounce you to the scammer's site where they request personal and financial data.
