I would probably take the "any other coach" bet. It's nice to be able to pick every other coach in the world, especially when the biggest names on the list (Cowher) are not likely to take any job (this offseason, at least).

Dolphins fans sure seem to be enamoured with Jim Bates. If I had to choose one of the single bets, that's probably the one. Guess the odds show him to be the favorite.

I heard someone mention Chan Gailey as a dark horse. He was the offensive coordinator for a year during the Wannstedt years, so I guess he has a personal relationship with the owner. I guess he's at least a "dependable" seeming guy, the type that won't bolt to the first SEC school which dangles money in front of him. Not that any SEC programs necessarily would do that for Chan Gailey...

I'm putting my money on Dave Campo. That man is a genius. Just ask him...he'll tell you so.

I read where Mike Martz interviewed for the Miami job today. He might scale up the offense, but I'm certain the defense would get old overnight and his quarterbacks would take too many hits. Of course, I guess Kitna made it through the season this year, which is more than Warner and Bulger did most years.

Ronnie Brown caught a lot of balls out of the backfield this year. He doesn't exactly look like a Martz style back, but I guess neither did Steven Jackson. Once again, Brown's durability is an issue.

And, of course, they'll have Ricky back next year. That is, until he fails a drug test.
