I'M BACK! I can't remember my old password, but that hasn't stopped me.
I will post my picks tomorrow or Friday. I need to look over this week's games. In case I don't get a chance to post again before Thursday night's game, here are my thoughts. If you can get 3 or more points on the Dolphins, take them. With Batch starting and Ward possibly out, what I figured was a big underdog should be in the game. Nick Saban is a new favorite of mine. He's the closest thing to Jimmy Johnson, since he left the game. And that's the old, good Jimmy Genius... If the Steelers are giving less than three at home, it's still hard to bet against them. They are still a run first/defense team, and the Dolphins still have a new quarterback coming back from major surgery playing at the home of the Super Bowl Champs in a huge nationally televised game, so I expect the Steelers to bring a lot of emotion. Porter and Polemalu will still be on the field. |

NO. I have Pitt +1.5 @ home. I cannot pass that up. Batch started last week and has been with the first team all week long. I'm going heavy on the Champs. Hopefully it's not to good to be true?

You got that one, Eugene. I'm glad I didn't lay money on it.
The Dolphins looked solid enough until the last seven minutes. Heck, they were ahead until midway through the fourth. What an implosion. As I said, Porter and Polemalu were still on the field. They both came up huge in the fourth quarter. Good work, finding Pitt at 1 and 1/2. Last edited by The Village Idiot : 09-08-2006 at 09:37 PM. |
