Default Yahoo! Opens Poker Site

Yahoo! has got into the cash play online poker market. Unfortunately, US players can't play.

Here's a link to the site:

If they do well, expect Internet giants like Amazon and AOL to get in on the action. This is major news in the world of online gambling.

I imagine sites like Poker Stars and Party Poker must really be feeling the heat right now.

Yahoo is such a big player online that, if they market themselves correctly, they're sure to take a massive slice of the poker market!

Another problem is that they are going to do it without paying affiliates to drive traffic to their site. If they are wildly successful, and companies like AOL and others follow their lead, then people who depend on affiliate revenue for a living will get squeezed out.
