So I played in a Charity poker Satellite with the winner getting a seat at the 2006 WSOP. About 500 people started in the tourney (I took 38th by the way) Here are the blinds.
Start with 1500 and can rebuy for 1500 or add on 1500 at the end of the hour. Blinds are like this.... 15 25-50 30 50-100 45 100-200 100 200-400 BREAK 115 300-600 130 500-1000 145 1000-2000 200 2000-4000 BREAK 215 3000-6000 230 5000-10000 Blinds are frozen 10000-20000 (fianl table) Thats all of them, now usually when it is @ 3K-6K or even the 5K-10K there are 50 or less people left. To give you an idea what people are talking about let me explain. 250 people start = 375000 chips. Everyone rebuys (not likely) = 375000 chips for a total or 750,000 chips. Divide that by 50....= 15,000. Now the pros will tell you if you do not have enough chips for 11 rounds of betting then you are low chip stacked. Well if the blinds are 5,000/ 10,000 and the average stack is 15,000........you figure it out. I have been at final tables at this event before and it is a pre-flop crap shoot all the way down to first place. if I got 23,000 in front of me with the blinds coming at me in a few hands, I have no choice but to push even with a marginal hand. Oh well, it's for a charity I suppose. |
