This is my favorite irreverent guide to the city of Las Vegas: http://www.cheapovegas.com/. Not sure if you've seen the site or not, because I don't know what kind of traffic it gets, but it's a true resource in a sea of mediocre affiliate-link-heavy websites. I particularly enjoyed their review of the Boardwalk's breakfast buffet, which I've managed to endure on every trip to Vegas I've taken. And if you've never been to the buffet at the Boardwalk in Vegas, please be warned that they play the Beach Boys greatest hits over and over again.
