I used to play backgammon a long time ago. In fact, it's been so long that I don't even remember the rules any longer. I know that several poker players have made the transition from backgammon to poker (Erik Seidel and Gus Hansen, for example). I was wondering if there is any kind of connection between the two games or if these guys just love to play games of all kinds?

I could be wrong, but I don't think they have anything to do with one another besides that fact that they both combine elements of skill and chance.
