my friend has been playing a lot of online roulette, and has a reasonable method to ensure not going bust...
however, today he played using his system, and got screwed. the ball landed on black 26 times in a row... how statistically unlikely this is I don't know, I would imaging 38x38x38.. 26 times. question: is this site scamming it, or is this a reasonable variance? i am not a maths man, however this seemed soooo dodgy to me. |

Yea I agree. Something smells a bit fishy... 26 times on black??
Probability wise it's impossible.

50 / 50 chance on each spin though. The last one doesn't count, each spin is seperate.

Well, you're right that it's a new set of odds with every spin of the roulette wheel, but it still seems iffy. Imagine flipping a coin. It's certainly 50/50 on whether it lands on heads or tails. But if someone flipped a coin 26 times and it landed on heads every time, you might start to suspect a double-sided coin at some point. By it's very nature, 50/50 would imply that it lands on red half the time and black the other half. This sounds more like 100/0.
