Don't play with scared money. You'll lose. Scared money leads to bad strategy decisions, stress, and you'll kill the fun of gambling by playing with money you can't afford to lose.

Before you start playing, set a maximum dollar goal for your winnings. When you hit that goal, walk out the door with the casino's money.

The player that starts out to "get their money back" never has a prayer.
For example, a person who starts with $34 inside on a dice table and same bets his bets to get his $34 back before pressing his bets will usually get slaughtered.

As a general rule, remember this:
Never give the house the chance to stand to win as much from you as you stand to win from the house.
Let's say you're going to take $10 and try parlaying a hard 8 with one dollar bets. If one of them hits you have $100. but of you try it ten times and it doesn't hit, you've only lost $10. you have to think that way to have any chance at all.

Nope, better to bet on horses they tend to be faster
