Now this is interesting. In Arizona, a new measure will be voted on during the November elections. It proposes the creation of a $1 million lottery. And all you have to do to be entered is vote.
That's right. Vote in an election in Arizona and you could win a million bucks. Critics say that this would be forbidden by a federal law which prohibits paying people to vote. Some experts say that means if Arizona voters approve the measure, a federal court might strike it down. Whatever the case, this is pretty darn interesting. Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

I think this is a very important story. Just imagine...a government resorting to offering cash prizes to get an apathetic public to vote. Still, there's no doubt that it would be highly efective. If you were ever thinking about running for office in Arizona, the first election after the lottery kicked in would be the time to do it. You'd have a lot of wild cards coming in to cast their ballot.
Can't wait to see how this turns out. If nothing else, whoever thought outside the box and came up with this one deserves some credit.
