Default A Professional Player or a Gambler

I’ve heard that gambling may be a profession. This is the case when gambling becomes the main source of income for a person. In this case he is called a professional player. But is there any difference between these two terms?

There too terms are synonims. Why are you going to make life so complicated? Things are much simplier!
