Looks like Google is really cracking down on gambling ads. They have banned any and all ads, even if the site doesn't involve an exchange of money. Talk about being a stick in the mud!

Will it make any difference though or will they still let their favorites or the ones that pay the most as back-handers in?

I'm guessing that it will make a difference. Google directs a lot of traffic to other sites, so not being able to be seen on their site will cost someone thousands upon thousands of customers.
Of course, keep in mind that this ban only applies to the UK for now. From what I read, it doesn't sound like they're cutting anyone any slack, even those gambling sites willing to pay more than others. I'd still love to know what prompted this new hardline stance?
