Casinos are attracting more female players on both sides of the Atlantic: are there advantages the female player can exploit over male opposition?

If you're talking about poker, a woman can certainly try to use her looks to distract men and throw them off their game, although I expect that this only works on inexperienced players. I doubt guys like Brunson, Ivey, or Hellmuth are going to get rattled by some cleavage.

As far as any other games go, I would figure it to be a pretty level playing field.

Anybody else have an opinion?

Most men treat women as stereotypes at the casino, not as unique players. This behaviour some times is irritating but this makes it pretty easy to play with men that have never played with me before. Certain types of men check a strong hand and some of them might try to bully a “weak” woman. Whatever the case, I win bets. This is a huge advantage to me.

well heres my thing with female players. Befor I've only played home games and the odd time we could get a female or 2 to play. They were playing for recreation(more than just fun like just to hang out and text on their cellphones). They didn't know anything pretty much. But I gave them respect still as I watched TV and pros say never underestimate them. They got 3rd I belive that night out of 10 people I took them out on a straight against their top pair, but they took out like 4 people befor I could take them out. As my friends thought since their female I could push them off their hand their weak and they would get called down with top pair.

So I never underestimated them and never saw them different. It was proboly my 2nd time at casino I was sitting at this table for about 2 hours now built a nice little stack and this drop dead gorgeous girl sits beside me. It was hard I have to admit after she sat down I became more talkative(Must have been the perfume) but i remained to be tight aggressive.

I had made friends with all the people around me this night and the guy on my right(shes on my left) would often flash me his cards after i folded and it was folded to him.

One hand it was messed up but I cant remeber how that hand went.
But after he went all in and she called I told him straight out I would have gone broke too. (really sneaky play from what I remebered)

So yeah female presense shouldnt change your casino play too much or else your just turning into he-man...

But anways never underestimate anyone at the table as their proboly playing the role of a dead shark and when you get close enough thats when they rip your head off.

yes that's true ,playing poker at a casino or brick and mortar poker club is something many women are still hesitant to do because of male attitudes and visions of smoke-filled backrooms may account for much of this hesitantcy.even though, ladies have fully embrace the real world casino games in any large numbers.
