Default Video poker: cash out or keep the credits in?

The machines on the floors keep revising the way they give out winnings. It used to be that they would drop the chips / coins every time you won. Then you would starts again. Now I see more and more that they are becoming "credit based", keeping your winnings on credit until you decide to cash them out. I suspected that this was done to keep the player close to the machine, and possibly lose what you have won when thinking you are "on a roll". The service manager assured me that this was not so, but then I saw that the newer machines also offer "streak bonuses", in other words encouraging you not to cash out your credits. What do you think is the optimal way to make a profit out of these machines? Has anyone here also encountered what I described, or can you refer me to a source about this issue?

I don''t know where you play, but very few original machines remain in almost any venue. I can''t remember the last time (in this century) I saw the original machine on the floors. My friend Jeff in an online authority on the machines and he contributes from his experience to different sources. You can check out here what he has to say: and it''s free. If you want my advice about cashing out or keeping the coins in the machine at casino, you need to decide what kind of person you are. I think that if you are sensible enough to keep track of your wins and losses, you can keep your credits in the machine until you quit.

I for one strongly disagree with what has been said above, the "credit system" is nothing more than a way to keep you glued to the machine and keep your chips inside it! If you are the kind of player who believes that the machine is inclined to reward him in streaks, then you shouldn’t play video poker. you are not trying to conquer someone psychologically here, you are playing a machine. so stick with the numbers and don’t be fooled to believe that karma streaks have anything to do with it
