For years my favorite casino game was roulette. Obviously, I had no understanding of simple stuff like expectation and house edge, etc, and I thought I was pretty good at switching my bets around if they'd hit the same color several times in a row.
My aunt taught me to play video poker in Reno, and that was a lot of fun. I liked the mental aspect of it. I always thought that figuring out the right strategy took some intelligence and thought, which was what made video poker fun for me. I never liked slots much until I tried some of the online games like Major Millions. But games like that, and Thunderstruck, really made me see the light when it came to slot machines. I play blackjack sometimes at my local bar, but it's not for real money. Honest. And I've never played some of the more obscure games at all, like baccarat or pai gow poker. What about you? What games float your boat when you're in a casino? |

My favorite game is paigow. It is a slow paced game and there is a lot of pushing. Fun game to play in Vegas while getting drunk. Once you learn how to assort the cards for any given situation, then it is basically a luck game.

I'll stick with poker but another game I love to donk off money at is always Carribean Stud. Something about the chance at catching a Royal Flush and taking down the jackpot is always intriguing to me.
When in doubt though and you have an extra few hindred bucks in your pocket, screw all those games and catch a can to Cheetahs. |

My favorite game is Blackjack. I have a system of betting which works pretty good for me. It is a progressive system. Here's the way I work it.
I don't play single or double deck. I prefer a shoe. And I prefer playing heads up against the dealer. That way I don't have to worry about someone else taking the dealer's bust card. I buy in for as much as it takes to make 20 bets at my selected chip size. If I'm using $5 chips, I buy in for $100. $25 cips, $500. Bet one chip. If you lose, keep the bet at one chip. If you win, bet two chips. If you win again, bet three chips. Continue like this until you lose a hand, then bet one chip again. When playing with a shoe, the cards seem to run in streaks. That is what you want. If you trade hands with the dealer, you lose. If you win two and then lose, you break even. Three or more winning hands in a row and you are ahead. My best streak was 4 years ago on Christmas day at one of the riverboat casinos in Shreveport, Louisiana. With a $25 base bet, I won 15 hands in a row. I bought in for $500 and walked away 20 minutes later with over $3000. Many times, I have had streaks of 9 or 10 in a row. I've won 12 or 13 in a row a couple times. |

I like the TexasHoldem you play against the dealer not the players.
Now this game is cool. The Mohegan Sun Casino just came out with this and I can't stay away lol I go on a $10.00 table and the most it will cost is $50.00 a hand.and the least is $30.00 a hand.

Mini Bac and blackjack are the only games anyone should play at a casino.
I go to the casino 2-5 times a month. Over the last year playing those 2 games, I am up about 10k. When I get up a lot, I like to spend a few hundred playing roulette. I was once up about 2500 playing blackjack at $25 a hand. I went to the roulette table and placed. I decided to play a $100 straight up bet. I had never done that before and since I was way up I did not care. The number was 33. Wouldnt you know it, my number came in and I had an extra $3500. Well the rule with roulette is, never take your money off of a winner. I picked up my bet and went to cash out. The cage was right next to the wheel where I was playing. I watched the result of the next spin and 33 had hit back to back. Im not greedy, I took my almost 4100 and hit the road. |

Sorry folks but Carribean Stud is a casino owner's wet dream.
The odds against being dealt a royal flush without drawing to it are 649,739 to 1. Unless the jackpot is that or more, you're taking it in the shorts even if you do get a royal. Last edited by HopBet : 12-30-2005 at 05:55 AM. |

Blackjack is the greatest game every made it has the 2nd best odds next to craps. I use the bonus money casinos give me and then gamble with strategy so I can keep the casino's money.
