GalaCoral, the British betting and gaming group, has blocked US citizens from placing bets on their website.

"This is in view of the current uncertainty over the U.S. legal situation," a spokesman for GalaCoral said.

"A very small number of U.S. citizens have played bingo and poker on the Web site and Gala has never taken bets on U.S. sporting events and has never advertised in the U.S."

I think it's a little harsh to ban America even though I cont live there I feel for them.

Gala is pretty much aimed at the UK market so I don't suppose this affects that many people. It just goes to show that the law needs to be more explicit.

I feel it's so controlling to tell people they can't play bingo it should be freedom of choice, it just needs to be regulated to make sure people with a problem get caught early.
