Of this group, I believe that Maroney (4-1) and Addai (5-1) are the best bets. Bush is playing behind Deuce McCallister, and although he's coming off a knee injury, Deuce isn't old and broken down. There's also the matter of the Saints still paying him a lot of money. Bush may do well enough to cause the Saints to release Deuce in the 2007 offseason, but I believe McCallister will still get around 20 carries per game this year(enough to kill Bush's overall stats).
Maroney, on the other hand, is also a 1st round pick. The difference is that he's playing behind a RB in Corey Dillon whose body is simply starting to wear down due to age. Like Bush, Maroney will get some carries from the start, but I believe the wear and tear of a 16 game season will eventually come into play for Dillion, and he'll eventually be forced to the sideline with various injuries. From there, it will be all Maroney.
Addai is competing with Dominic Rhodes for the starting RB spot. Rhodes will most likely win the job (as he's very familiar with the system), but he also has a history of nagging injuries. Addai is another 1st round pick, so you know the Colts have to be pulling for him. Addai hasn't looked particularly good in camp, but that won't matter when Rhodes succumbs to the NFL grind. He'll get his shot sometime this season.
Still, I believe Maroney is a better back than Addai and will have the edge for Rookie of the Year. I'm betting $200 in the hope of winning $800.
