Mikey the chimpanzee will be playing in the 2006 World Series of Poker main event.

PokerShare online gambling is to sponsor Mikey the Chimp in the (WSOP) main event, and there will be a press conference on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at 2:00pm (PST). The conference will take place at the Palms Hotel, where Mikey's trainers will be available to discuss his cognitive abilities and training for the tournament.

Mikey has been trained in Hold'Em. He recognizes the shapes and colors of suits, and his favorite move is going 'all-in!'

Mikey was found during a nationwide search as the worlds best non-human poker player. Pokershare have promised to pay anyone who can knock out Mikey this year to return to next years World Series Main event.
Mikey is a chimp that is nearing the end of his professional career. He has appeared on the cover of Vogue, a Black Eyed Peas CD cover, and various other publications.
